Default Instrument Cluster Swap

Newbie here.
Have a 91 Honda Civic DX HB. Want to swap out the Instrument cluster with one from a Civic Si to gain the tach feature. Seems to be a difference in one connector preventing this.

Stock cluster top - green connector, Si Cluster bottom - blue connector.
Anyone done this or can direct me to very simple direction on how to do so? Am no sparky so gentle help requested! 8-)
Thanks in advance!

thats just a difference in years...you need a 90-91 ex/si gauge cluster.

While I certainly bow to your knowledge here, the cluster I purchased is (claimed to be) from a 90-91 as per this link:

Am I missing something? Is my car perhaps a later model 91 and has a 92 cluster or something?
Thank you for your thoughts on the matter.

That green plug location is foreign to me and I had a 90 STD hatch.

I had the blue plug thing and had no problem swapping the Si cluster in.

You sir, are Canadian, and therefore I think you may have a different feature/s integrated into your instruments. Show us a picture of the front of your cluster so we may delve further into your dilemma

Indeed I am a lowly Canuck sir.
Cluster I want to use...

Cluster in the car as stock...

And due to your inquiry as to appearance I believe I now understand why what I purchased will not fit what I have....
The car is an Automatic - the cluster likely came from a 5 speed? Was there a cluster with Tach used in an Auto? Things that make you say DOH!
Anyone want a used cluster?
This is more confusing than working on my BMW 850's is! 8-)
Thank you for your assistance.

you might want to try a 90-91 civic EX cluster. I *think* those came with an automatic option.

Doh!!! Yes you have an automatic cluster, but all is not lost as you could wire it up and just lose your PRNDL indicator or find a sedan EX cluster that will swap right in

And being Canadian does not make you lowly just able to travel around the world and when people ask what your idiot president is doing you say "president? Don't you mean prime minister?"
