have you ever removed your tps?

if not then its probably bad.

if you have removed it then it probably just needs to be calibrated

u need a multimeter.

put your key in the ignition and turn it to "on" dont start the car.

tap the positive terminal into the middle wire of the tps (its a red/blue wire)

put the negative terminal onto the battery ground, or any other good ground (a bad ground will cause a bad reading)

your reading should be .45 volts at closed throttle

if its not, loosen the screws on the tps and turn it until it reads .45 volts.

tighten screws.

now slowly turn the throttle plate and watch the numbers.

they should climb steadily

at wide open throttle you should read 4.55 v (or somewhere close to that)

if you get that, then you are calibrated.

if the numbers jump around, up and down when opening the throttle then the tps is bad, or you have a bad ground for your multimeter

if it doesnt reach 4.55 v at WOT or exceeds it by alot, then you have a bad tps

The TPS prong was not aligned between the two fingers of the throttle body. tHE tps was being rotated by the outside finger.

Thanks for your help!
