find a local tuner and see what they recommend. no use in buying an ems and having noone nearby that tunes it.

btw, i dont see 180whp with that setup.

Not trying to cut you down, but let's guesstimate that your stock B16 makes 140whp (more like 130, but I'm giving it some slack), but you're talking about gaining 20whp out of a little 1.6L engine with basic bolt-on's...sorry, but I'd be looking at getting 150 to the wheels max. The B16 isn't a very bolt-on friendly motor...in order to make REAL power you need some form of forced induction.

But some electronics...Hondata's good from what I hear, there's Crome, Neptune, or you can go all out and get an AEM stand-alone

I'd go ahead and invest in the S300, so you have the software (unless your tuner does).

If you're going to pay money for a system, I'd get neptune, uberdata, or crome pro.

i hear lots of great things about crome. But some shops around my way dont do crome, uberdata, nep for some reason. just hondata.

But i would suggest s100, if your just tunning. its really all you need, and cheaper than s200,s300.

I had s200, i didnt even use some of the functions on it, sold it and bought s100.

Lots of kids getting into the game around here use CROME. They seem to have good results. Uberdata is popular too.

Stock flywheel horsepower rating for a B16a2 is 160 hp. Take away the usual 15% drivetrain loss for most Honda motors and you're at around 135 whp with a STOCK b16a2.

Everyone is all caught up in peak numbers...

Look for a tuner that tunes for maximum power in the curve and not peak power.

i dont want to tell you what to get, but if you could get s100, get that!

youll save a 100-200 bucks for sure. does the same thing, and made for tuning. s200 is just has extra functions.

If he can tune crome go with that. Shouldnt cost more than a 100 bucks and it has the same functions as hondata.

IMO, definitely not.

Personally, i'd look at Hondata or Neptune.

x2, hondata sucks *********.

neptune/uberdata are the good top of the line ones.
