B18C swap guys, what's your gas mleage??
Just curious what you guys get for gas mileage on your B18C swapped cars. Mine is a P72 (GSR, duh) B18C so I'm most interested in those and the USDM version B18C1...
Here's what I have and my fuel economy:
1998 Civic DX 4 door
B18C engine and trans
S2 Pro Series intake manifold
K&N FIPK
DC 4-2-1 1 piece header (soon to be replaced by HyTech replica)
Recent tune up.
Currently 2" exhaust; getting 2.5" exhaust when new header goes on to be ready for future mods.
62 mm throttle body
OK, on a recent trip to Kansas City (about 180 miles each way) I got 34.8 mpg. Right after I did the swap, when I was still in thrash it mode, I got between 25 and 27 with all city driving. Now, I'm going between my P72 and P73 ECU's trying to figure out which one works best with my new intake.

on my drives from fresno to sac (also ~180mi) doing a constant 80mph i average 27-28mpg. i could squeeze out a few more if i didnt drive so fast, but what the hell.

Yes, you can get 30 if you don't have a lead foot. I live in AZ and so I must have A/C... Lately, with A/C and about 50/50 city/highway I get about 280 - 290 on 1 tank. I have a 99 EX w/ a B18C swap. When I'm not running A/C and drive normally, (i.e. don't go into VTEC) I can squeeze out about 330 on 1 tank. I have an 11 gal tank. So you can get 30 if you drive slow..

i dont go by miles per gallon, i usually go by miles per tank and with that saying i squeeze about 225-250 miles to a full tank. Maybe a little less when my foot is through the floor board.

225 miles / 12 = 18mpg..
Yeah. that's pretty bad. is that all highway? i hope not. I'm sure those cams don't help.
Anyone here got a fairly stock b18.. what's your highway mileage?

I have gotten 334 miles in a B16 92 vx, highway and city driving, going 140 km/h on the highway.

When I'm driving back and forth to school (70+ highway miles everyday) I get ~30, but I've seen 32mpg when I was doing 65 and accelerating slowly.
During the summer when I'm just around town going back and forth to work I get 27-28, depending on how I drive.

first of all I run the same set up b18c1 dc sports 4-2-1 and fidanza flywheel and stage 3 clutch with a chiped ecu with 2.5" exhaust what I wanted to tell you is that 2.5" is good for all motor setups but something with limited mods including no internals it is not I am losing hp due to not enough backpressure and it pops and makes funny sounds due to the oversized exhaust but at the same time I dont run a catalyst and if you do you may be able to keep enough backpressire to make it mork right. and the other thing is that I get like 24-26mpg so there you go

Bone stock B18c5 with stock eg exhaust. I was running a chipped ECU and getting about 200 miles per tank. Since then I've gone back to a stock ECU with factory fuel mapping and with 70/30 highway to street driving, I'm at 270 on this tank and need to fill up. I'll probably put approx. 10 gallons in.
So the short of it is I'm getting somewhere around 24 - 27 MPG with easy driving.
