Default 2005 accord problems

alright so I have some problems with my car. I have a 2005 accord V6 and latly when driving it I hear a tapping sound form the engine when I hit the gas it will get louder and it will do it if I keep the car steady at 2000 rpm. I have no idea what it is. the car has 45,000 miles. I have been really beating on the engine prob not a good idea but its to much fun. Problem 2. when the engine is idleing I heard a squeeking sounds like is comong form the back of the engine.

well, it sounds like either valve chatter or lifters, but idk. but if u beat on ur car all the time and don't change oil or check it, then u were just asking something to happen. if it is valves, then there are things u can buy to put in the oil to "help" the noise. neone else?

yes they do, last night I was going and it wouldnt shift into 3 the rpms where 6000 I had to put the trans in N and back into drive. The cars a lemon I think. Love the car just hate the problems and that it is a rattle box.

It may be valve chatter and there is a service bulletin out for Honda to adjust them as needed because they get loose pretty quickly.

Loose valves can cause a bit of power loss but not anything major.
