New headgasket leaking slightly!
I got a gsr with b16 head spoon 2 layer gasket and arp headstuds
i followed the directions and hand tightened the studs into the block
then i put the head on and torqued the head down to 75 lbs doing increments of 10 each time in a star pattern....i followed the pattern by the book.
now i noticed my headgasket is leaking slightly anyone know wat might cause this?
o btw the whole motor has bout 400 miles on it brand new everything
does it just need to be retorqued after breakin period?

good, its supposed to be 85
but it could also be a variety of things
did you reinstall the coolant studs
how about milling and or resurfacing the head
it wasnt supposed to be in a star pattern it was supposed to be on a head bolt pattern
out side in

Evertime I have assembled a motor I torque the studs to 75 lbs. I think the coolant studs he may be talking about are the dowel pins. They actually run oil not coolant.
You could try upping the torque on the head studs. One of my motors had a slight head leak with ARPs, so I upped the torque to about 85 ftlbs and that solved the problem. (Leak presented itself as coolant temp spike under full throttle, but block test didn't confirm anything)
second, it sounds like you followed the correct pattern for torquing the studs. (start in the middle, criss-cross your way to the ends.)
