Default B18c1 turbo a/r 0.63 or a/r 0.82 hotside

Hi, I have a crx with a b18c1 turbo. It's a fully built motor and wanted to achieve
425 whp. I have a sc61 turbo with 2 different housing. Which one is better with better spool without affecting the 425 whp? I am asking because I have a friend with the same kind of car and setup, but he is using the a/r 0.82. He is using the long geared ratio cable tranny y21 and it seems when he throws the 3rd gear, the rpm goes a little bit below 6000 rpm and it takes a while to get back to 8500 rpm.
He has about 380 whp and 15 psi. Any suggestions??

well if 425whp is all your looking for and the turbo that spools the fastest your choice would be the .63

you wouldn't flow enough air and with a long geared tranny it wouldn't stay in the power band long enough to be efficient

Yes, unless you like a very narrow powerband
