HAVE QUESTIONS HELP!!!!
OK, so i have a Jdm b16a engine but was wondering if its a SiR I or II. the first 3 serial numbers below b16a are 551. and
how much you think the block would sell for if since its turbo built?
thanks for your help people

check the stamps on the head it should have circles with two numbers. for example if it has an 8 and a 9 it means 1989. 89-91 is Sir 1 92-95 is Sir 2. Some 91's are Sir 2 because it was cast the year before
ok so the numbers dont have circles around the numbers so its just 551 what type of engine did it come out of and what year. and help regarding that type of serial numbers
ok i understand all of this but i want to know if it is a sir or what. im really need to get rid of this block. i dont need it and want to get a GSR block.
does any one know if a GSR block with a B16A head would push more then a stock GSR motor? and can i use LS internals? if my engine is SIR would it be worth it if i dropped the whole B16A into my DC2? and if so would i be able to put my LS internals into the B16A if i do an all motor.
HELP PLEASE!!!! new to this motor SH** and want to know the in and outs.

I am not a B-series person by any means so forgive me if my information is incorrect, but as far as I know a gsr with b16 head has higher compression than straight gsr... I think.
