Default any body have problems with airbag light?

So i made a bone-head move and i was swapping a cd player and touched some wires and this and that and blew a couple fuses... so i replace them and one ended up being the backup fuse under the hood.

but now, my air bag light won't go off...

i was at honda the other day and asked a "technician" (if thats what you want to call them) and he gave me that "I can't remember where I last saw my brain" look and said I ain't never heard of that before...

any insight is appreciated, i'm hoping i can reset my srs and it'll all be cherries...

MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't be touchin wires together idiot! Or take your car to a dealer. (They're both about the same level of stupidity)

I don't know how to solve your problem. However, I do have a suggestion. Disconnect the battery before you mess with any wires!

I'm sure someone has an answer for ya.

my airbag light has been on for quite sometime now. the only thing is that if its on you dont know if the airbags will go off or not. for example, my car got plowed into a tree ($8900 of damage) and the srs light was on prior to teh accident. well the front airbags went off as there supposed to but the side ones didnt. now they cant get the light to go off cuz the airbag module is bad and **** like that.

but the airbag system is very sensitive. even just using a laptop computer in your car or having lights in ur interior can set it off and make it malfunction. what ive done is take it to the dealer and have them clear the code. or just live without airbags.

Maybe the technician just wanted you to pay for his knowledge like everyone else. That is why they spend thousands of dollars on tools and spend long hours training for what they do. Or, that tech was an idiot.

i completely agree with you. i dont understand why people get upset when a mechanic wont give away free information.

free information is one thing but standing there slobbering on yourself doesn't do anybody good... if i thought about taking my car there to get work done, after that he isn't stepping near my car...

Bad technicians give everyone in the industry a bad reputation. That makes it harder for me to earn the trust of my customers. I can't stand that. Cars break enough on their own so I know I don't need to rip anyone off to make money. That is why I do what I do, job security, becuase some engineers really suck!!
