Default srs light

what's up HT, here is my problem...my air bags were stolen so i purchased new ones and my srs light is still on...any ideas on what it could be...also now my horn stays on so i had to unplug it from the front to make sure it stays off. any help is greatly appreciated.

sounds like they screwed up your clockspring... sounds like the clockspring is grounded at all times for your horn concern.... check the back of the airbag for proper horn connection, then if thats fine, replace your clockspring. that may take care of the srs light as well... if not see below ;-)



*** FYI: WHENEVER REPLACING AIR BAGS REPLACE THE AIR BAG MODULE FOR A PROPER REPAIR TO AVOID NON-DEPLOYING AIRBAGS< --- ask any good body shop they will verify that

BUMP FOR SAFETY!!! Can't be too careful with those airbags!!
Agree with the above, your clockspring is screwed. I had a car in the shop just the other day that was having similar issues. His clockspring wires (looks like a ribbon) were damaged and contacting each other. Be very careful and methodical when you change yours. It's easy to do it incorrectly, so definitely use a manual of some sort... Good Luck!
