Default AVCR wiring help - RPM or Injector signal?

Ive searched around the net and on HT, unable to verify what I need to do.

Using a P28, need to tap into the RPM or Injector signal. The instructions state ..."the purple wire should be connected to the RPM signal. However, if you would like to monitor Injector signal, connect this wire to the injector signal."

First off, I dont see "RPM" or "Injector signal" in the P28 pin out. The closest I found to "RPM" is pin A21 for "Ignition Power Source" as found on the phearable.net website, which I assume is essentially the igniter?. And for "Injector signal", the pin out diagram shows each injector with its own pin out. Since it only has one purple wire to splice into the harness, I assume it wants to use A21 for Ignition Power Source rather than each individual injector??

Any help is appreciated.

use RPM.

AEM has really good wiring diagrams for these cars, but it still doesnt tell you "rpm"

if you want something where you dont have to think or figure it out, go to apexi's websight and download the manual for an SAFC/VAFC....that will tell you "rpm" signal for this vehicle.

Tap it into the A21 position on the OBD1 setup.

Im having the same issue as this guy.

Would hooking it up as stated above allow me to monitor injector duty cycle?

It's not that bad.

No, you will just have RPM. Use your EMS to deal with duty cycle.
