help: anybody have the chart for which rod bearing to get?

Default help: anybody have the chart for which rod bearing to get?

i saw this before and i tried looking for it again but i can't find it. i need to knw which rod bearings to get.

There is no "chart" that definitively says get these...

You need to have them "clearenced" by a reputable shop. Things wear over time and you need to make sure you get the right ones.

Do it right the first time, and you won't have to revisit it for a long time.

but there still is a chart.....and 99.5% of the time that chart is right! bearings will wear before steel or the aluminum block wear that is the reason for the chart.

I don't doubt there's a chart, however I'd still be using the clearencing method. I'd prefer to have a guarentee when building an engine.

For example, do I "know" that CTR pistons will work in a stock USDM ITR shortblock with no contact? Sure, but I'm still going to clay the engine to make sure there isn't something I'm over looking.

I'm wicked **** retentive when it comes to engine building. Again, do it right the first time, and you'll have no worries later.
