what bearings do I need to order
My engine is halfway through the tedious process of my first rebuild.
And I need help. So I call apon the power and wisdom of the honda gods and gurus.
I have the bottom end torn apart, the crankshaft and pistons are out being cleaned and all labeled. The crank was sent to the machine shop and turned .10 over as the bearings burned. So before i put this back together what bearings do i need to purchase.
Ie. rod bearings, main bearings, crankshaft bearings ? all of the above ? please help me
oh wise honda gurus I will be forever in your debt.

Still, when they micro polish a crank they barely take off .001. Bearing clearance is .0015 to .003 max. I doubt theres a bearing to make up that much loss material.

Re: (Luserkid)
sorry about the missing info I have a d16z6 , the turned it 10 thousands
.010 im so used to hearing guys talk about getting their sleeves bored 10 and 20 over i forget all the zeros. The reason I ask about main and crankshaft bearings is because on autozones sight they have all three in seperate catagories.
I am looking at this kit on ebay to save money.

does this look alright and is this what I will need for the lower end, bearings wise.
thanks for your help.

Re: (hotrod99)
i could be 100% totally wrong on this, but i am curious and want to ask-
Don't OEM honda bearings have color codes and different sizes so you can get the appropriate bearing for how much you had your crank machined?

Yes and no, they are color coded by block and crank stamps. Not really by how much your machined. To tell that its with plastigauge until you get it right.
Here is a chart on bearing colors though.
