How To: Install Brake Stainless Steel Brake Line
dont mind my fobby title
a little write up.. hope it helps.. my master cylinder died so i figured the brake system needed an overhaul so finally upgraded lines
tools needed
10mm flare nut wrench (get a nice one, its worth it more on that later)
14mm socket
10 mm socket
12 mm socket
mallet
flat head screwdriver
dot 3 or 4 fluid
mityvac, or extra person to help bleed out the brakes
1st step is to take off the wheel and the 10 mm flare nut shown here
after, use your screwdriver to pop off the retaining clip u might need to use the mallet also

take off the 14mm banjo bolt holding the line to the caliper (have a oil tray ready its gonna get messy)
take off the brackets holding the line to the suspension
then get your shiny new line ready (this kit came with new banjo bolts and washers)
front:
rear
get the banjo on there with the washers like so:
then do everything in reverse to install the lines to the car, bleed and enjoi
fin:

about the cheap flare wrench: i got a vatozone special that would spin and strip the nuts,
i manned up and bought a nice one and had no problems

Cool
, what brand are your lines? My Russel lines would not work with the retaining clips unless I modified some stuff
They're very good otherwise.
D2s FTW. Your setup looks a lot like mine
