Ok, I've been trying wrap my brain around this one for a while and I can't find what I need. I have a banjo bolt for my 14b turbo and its a male and with an inverted flare on the tip, and my oil feed line is a female with an inverted tip as well. so its kind of like this ---< >O. Now, it doesn't seem to make a tight seal even with a compression sleeve in the middle <=>. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a good seal here?

are you using teflon tape?

 

Are you sure that is where the leak is coming from? On my 14b it was leaking from the washers not sealing properly.

 

I'm pretty positive. I'm using teflon paste but its not leaking at the threads, its leaking from the back where the braided line meets the female nut. And I'm positive its not the washers because I used rtv silicone to seal them tight.

 

Faulty oil line? Maybe request a new one?

 

banjo, cut that fitting off and weld a flared fitting on

banjo, find a flared male/female fitting and put it over the banjo fitting, then bolt on

try either 1 of those methods,


or get a new flared banjo fitting and ur set


is this by chance a greddy oil line and fitting?

 

Maybe try flipping the oil line around; use the other end. Are both ends concave (inverted) or is one end concave and the other convex?

 

It is a greddy banjo fitting and a stealthmode performance oil line.

 

Maybe they are not compatible? I will look and see if I have a spare stock fitting (from one of my stock oil lines) off of my Talon.

 

LOL, I'm an idiot. I just realized that the stock lines are prebent/one piece. Here is a link, the fiting shouldn't have that inverted flare.

ok for u to properly use the stealthmode oil line, u need to get a new banjo fitting,

i have ran into ur same problem before, and stated above are some of the ways to fix it, i dont know exactly where u can buy 1, but they do sell them online, and possibly at a local shop that sells any kind of fittings

With the Stealthmode oil line, you need to get rid of the banjo all together and use the M12x1.25 fitting provided.
