You should also know the K20Z3 isn't in the JDM cars, they use the K20A2 for the most part so some parts wont mix and match. We have the DBW - Drive-By-Wire system and many throttle or engine management systems don't work. We are all waiting for the supposed "i-Pro" for the i-VTEC cars.

^^little bit of misinformation there...

the k20a2 hasn't existed for a few years... it was the old RSX type S engine.. later the type S changed to k20z1... JDM type R civics use the k20a like the integras (DC5 RSX) did.. the 2.0s (or whatever that is in markets other than the US)similar to the Acura CSX (some trim levels) uses the old basemodel RSX / EP3 Si motor the K20a3 with a different vtec mechanism and only 160hp... k20a, k20z1, and k20z3 are all very similar.. biggest difference being the head and intake manifold (k20z3 uses the TSX head/manifold combo) which is great because the stock TSX TB is bigger than the Si, but still DBW.. other difference is that the k20z3 has balance shafts that aren't on the RSX motors

Welcome. And the switch from ford to honda is a wise desicion.

Ford= 100k miles tons of problems

Honda= 200k miles and maybe just a problem or two

Youll love the si! Have fun driving!

My fault, I thought the new Type-Rs were running on A2 motors. I knew the newer Type-S was on the Z1 but was unaware of the type-r changes. Thanks!
