Can anyone here get me my radio code?
Serial #: M98F309388
i swear, i did not steal it. When i bought the car, the previous owner put in a new deck and gave me the old code. If any of you work at honda or know a dealer that could give you the code for free, i would greatly appreciate it.
TIA

Not that I know of. I know I helped a girl get her radio code out of her Lude for free here.

The only reason I could imagine for a dealer charging that much is if they were removing the radio to get the serial # and charging you for the labor. If you already have all of the information they need, they should supply the code for free (at least that's how VW has done it for my girlfriend's car).

Re: (swatdog)
the honda dealers here charge you for the code. i've heard in certain cars you can find the radio code in the oddest places of the car.

Re: Can anyone here get me my radio code? (swatdog)
In my 93 civic, the code is on the bottom of my radio. Battery went dead and the radio wouldn't go on so I pulled it out and just happened to look underneath and it had some numbers on there. Tried them and the radio started playing!
Also, i'm in texas and was able to call a local dealership and they gave me the code over the phone hassle free. And that was for my 00 si radio that I no longer have. hth

Go to any Honda dealer, bring proof that you own the car and take out the radio and give them a vin number on the radio and maybe the VIN number of the car. Thats what I did when I had to enter a code because I changed the battery.

Have you took out the radio? It should be on the radio, not the dash.

Re: (swatdog)
iwork at a honda dealership and the only time we charge for radio codes is when we have to remove the radio from the vehicle, labor time. Otherwise bring in your registration & drivers license, we put you in our customer database and then get you the radio code. this way if its stolen we have the vin of the car and all the information of the person that breought it in for the code. nothing to worry about if your legit.
