Default Will 16x8 wheels fit?

I want to buy some Rota Slipstreams and I know the 16x7 +45 offset will fit my 5th gen. I noticed they also come in 16x8 +48 offset. Just wondering if anyone knows if the 8'' wide wheels will fit or not.

Yes they will, there's a guy that has a AutoX Prelude that comes on that has them.. He sells them also, you should contact him.

The 16x8 Rotas should fit no problem. I tried fitting 16x8 RX7 wheels where are about the same size with just a tad more offset. They fit fine.

Depends on the tire size you use.

When I was looking at 8" wide wheels, I was considering 225/45/16.

I've heard conflicting reports though of using 225. Any thoughts 117?

225/45/16 should work just fine. When I tried the 16x8 RX7 wheels, I was trying to fit a 245/45/16 race tire. That was a very tight fit, and would not work without some fender work.

Right now I'm using a very wide 225/50/15 (actually they're as wide as a 245) on 15x8, +40mm wheels, and they fit fine, but the rear required fender rolling. The front fits fine.
