Default Fit wheels on 02 civic

My brother just bought a Fit sport and bought the 16" alloys as a option, and has no use for the stock 15" alloys, and i am wondering if these would fit on my 02 civic Lx. Figure it would be a inexpensive way to replace my stock steel wheels and hub caps. thanks.

Not entirely correct. Offset and wheel size both play a role in the fitment. With the Fit's high offset, you might run into inner fender rub, or even possibly brake caliper clearance issues.
