17x7 wheels with a 40 offset?

I was told they wont but when I go to Konigs website it claims they will indeed fit a 97-01 prelude. Who is right and who is wrong?

I have a 1.5 inch drop kit

Are you 100% positive?
The guy that runs the place I was going to buy them from told me that anything below a 45 offset will not fit. If I'm taking a risk with them slamming into my fenders I'm not interested.

 

I wonder why his book clearly stated they wont? Are either of you actually running a 40 offset?

Funny you wont say if you've ran an actual set of wheels with that offset, your just a bench bitch passing false info for all I know. I want info from someone who has actually ran a set not someone who pretends they ran a set or owns a hotwheels car with a 40 offset. So go home, I'm looking for someone with first hand experience.

Thx this is what I thought, 45mm+ offset otherwise I have a very good chance of rubbing esspecially lowered with a 40+. I'll steer clear of those wheels and order a higher offset. Good thing I didn't take the incorrect info given to me in the first few posts.
