Do you guys have vtec disengaged to avoid the overlap?

 

I haven't done anything whatsoever to my vtec and my car is still running strong for about a year now.

 

hmm I wonder how turbo likes vtec

 

I am using adjustable cam gears to dial out cam overlap.

 

what ivve read is the ITR cams are the best stock cams for boost!(for honda dohc vtec motors)

 

Unlike what I think Sirkid said below, the BEST stick cams are GSR spec cams. Lisa Kubo and a few other 9/10 sec honda drivers are uysing them still. I had the ITR cams and they worked fine but even better are the cat cams that I have. They are the same as the ITR ones but the give youa better low end which is needed due to the lag that you usually have. In all honesty when I had the JDM pistons still in their b4 the re build I had ZERO lag but now with the je 9.0-1 pistons I do have a little lag. Nothing to bitch about though!

1.GSR
2.ITR or CTR
3. and any cam designed for turbo applications like my cat cams

 

can you tell me more about those cat cams? is Cat the manufacturer? how much $$?

I will get you the info tomm from the shop as i dont have it with me right now. they are cheaper then buying ITR cams from the dealership. That much I know forsure. Alot of people put them down cause they are not a big time company but thats why they are cheap and they work very very well. they have been making cams now for NUMEROUS years now.
