clutch got stuck to the floor
hey, today i was driving on the freeway and i put my clutch in and it stuck to the floor and my car just over revs like crazy because i dont have a rev limiter. its a b16 engine and cable tranny. what would make this do what it did. also after i heard like a scraping noise when the throttle body was closed and deccelerating

Did you continue accelerating when the clutch was on the floor?

Well did the ear on the throw out bearing break off and not let the clutch release. That is my guess, I have seen it happen a time or two. It happened to me once during normal driving.

alright. the car worked fine after this happened. when this happened i didn't notice the clutch stayed in and i floored the gas pedal. its was like 2 seconds long. so i got it towed to the shop and well i dont feel like paying them a bunch of money to find out what happened because im getting my new car today and im just going to rebuild the engine and tranny over the next few months and then turbo it. they think i spun a bearing because of a lack of oil because my oil pan was leaking.(i was going to get my gasket when this happened). so it was at the shop since this happened and i just got it back and i've been working so i haven't been able to scope it out yet to find out what happened with the clutch. oh and i drove the car home from the shop because it was only a few miles. the car drove with the same amount of power so i didn't bend any valves, all i noticed was a rattling sound coming from the engine but it would go away as the rpm's went up and then rattle a lot when i let off the gas.

Sorry, but you are the kind of kid that does not need to drive, untill they learn more about cars. Holy cow.

ya and ur the kinda guy that still talks like a kid even though your 35 which probably means your going to be the next 40 year old virgin because you probably spend half of each day on this website and the other half watching gay ****.
Even if your stupid insult was true.....you are still the kind of kid that doesn't need to be driving until you learn more about cars. Btw, if something is broken on your car and you know it.....you probably shouldn't be flooring it.
