Revs drop back down when I let the clutch out and go back up as soon as I put the clutch in and stays steady around 2500.Recently resurfaced flywheel, spark plugs, and engine swap and running a p30 ecu.

when you say that it revs back down when you let the clutch out are you saying when you let the clutch out to drive or just sitting in neutral and it revs up when you depress the clutch pedal?

There is no need for this. The man asks a serious question and you go and read everyone elses's responses and then make a post pretending you all ready knew the answer to his problem and decided to be an *** about it. Never do that again. It was retarted and uncalled for.

yea its definantely something with your idle. I've had the same problem before. It was a vacuum leak though in my intake manifold though.

i'm stumped on this one. never heard of, or experienced this. perhaps it is the throttle cable, or maybe it isn't

LOL... nice replies.
Check your fast idle valve as it might be stuck.... then clean it. Either that or you have a nice vacuum leak, most likely at the throttle body.
