Default a quick question about my integra

when i do a hard pull in my gsr and i get to 6000-6200 rpm it sounds and feels like vtec
kicks in hard not the smooth transition it ususally is, plus its later than the 5800 the butterfly valves open like it should, then it will bog, but 2nd through 4th gear its fine, but this doesnt happen everytime....also the idle has been a little inconsistant too lately its a 98 gs-r just i/h/e stage 1 clutch installed a couple k miles ago car has 118,000 and just had new dizzy, plugs and wires put in not too long ago too any input would help thanks.

You just had a new distributor installed? Why? Sounds like your timing may be a little off.

when replacing distributor u have to set the ignition timing,,, make sure this one done... also check your fuel filter and air filter... always check the obvious things first..

i know this is kinda old but now after 4500 rpms its just bogging in all gears...im wondering if this could suggest any other possible problems because in about a week im taking my car to my friend's brothers house to have my shocks and springs put on and hes pretty knowledgable with the b series engine and it might help if i threw some suggestions to him...soo any more ideas? b

btw the new distributor and plugs were put in about 6 months ago and the car ran fine until a couple weeks ago...i probably should have said that earlier haha

any more suggestions thanks!
