which v6 for 4gen SI
Hello
I have a few question about my new idea :D
1. I have a 4gen SI civic ready to Drag racing but without engine and I'm thinkin about some Honda's V6 Engine. Someone did it ? Which one engine will be the easiest and cheapest to put info 4gen SI Civic?
2. How many modification I have to do it to put this engine into Civic ?
3. Is possible to modify Stock V6 ecu by crome or I have to buy some standalone ? which one ?
Thanks for all replays

it looks like you wanna do something different! but its not gonna make a big difference! remember the V6 is bigger and heavier and you might not have all the room to work in the engine bay! besides all that youre gonna need a lot of money and time so i say it's not worth it.
There was a topic not too long ago on here with a v6/turbo setup in a 4th gen Civic hatch. I think it was PowerRev racing's car but don't quote me on that.

I think you should first figure out what class you wanna run and go off those rules for motor size and setup. because putting a V6 in your civic will put out of a lot of classes meant for fwd cars. But if its just for a weekend track car at the local track test n tuning. put whatever you want in there. V6 typeS motors rock.

Interesting idea. You should try to find someone who has already done the swap (I know there are a few on HT) to get an idea of what exactly is involved in performing such a swap. Good luck

If the rules don't state the engine has to be the same make as the chassis, put an LS4 in it.
