Default Engine Swap Advice

I have a close to stock civic si 2000 looking to do a possible engine swap. What would be the best engine upgrade? Is a h22 to big for the car? What would be the smartest engine upgrade.

not another one of these, it all comes down to your budget, how much HP you wanna get and how much your willing to put in for it.

To answer your question, no an H will fit fine in your bay, but it will be snug.

btw there is no such thing as best engine. The smartest would be to just stick with what you have.

when you have an EK si, you'd lose value in your car anyway by changing anything as big as an engine

Biggest engine with most horsepower you can afford. Period. Don't know why these questions continue to need to get asked.
