hey guys..right now i have a d15b8(8 valve) thats going under the knife for turbo.i was wonder if i should ditch the whole motor and get a d16z6/y8 or should i just put on a vtec head.is a mini me the same as a z6?

 

A mini me is a VTEC head on a non-VTEC block. Regarding if you should get a new motor or not, think about your power goals. Since it's very expensive for D15 rods, you'll probably have to stick with stock internals, thus limiting yourself to about 200whp safely on a D15. If you're going to want more than that (probably a mid-13's car, give or take depending on your driving and tires), then swap motors.
