Default whats up with all these guys runnin high boost on stock D16Z6??

the more i search the more i find people runnin much boost on Stock Z6s

what about the A6s? anybody running that kind of boost on a stock A6? id think that you could run more on a A6 since the head doesnt flow as good.

they are both D series so how different can they be?

They do it because they're so cheap to replace. And actually, once ported slightly, the A6 head will outflow the Y8 or Z6, just ask Bisimoto.

Outflows it right up until the smaller valves strangle it. Great head, though.

A ported Y8 reputedly flows about as much as a stock Z6. Given the wonders that modern flowbenches and serious minded people can perform, I am ASSuming that claim is based on a regular DIY P&P where you just lightly smooth out casting defects. What's commonly known as a street porting.

yeah i know the VETC heads flow better, but im really talking about the bottom end, VTEC doesnt matter if im boostin, as long as the bottom end will hold up. do the Z6 and the A6 have the same rod strength?

correct the rods are the same size/strength as a a Z6 so you can put an equal amount of force on the rod but you are going to run into a bottle neck up top.
