Hey guys i just got finished installing a new AEBS manifold on my gsr. I take it for a drive and the spedo doesnt work. Does anybody know why? Its kinda frustrating.

 

somebody wanna help me out?

 

maybe some how you unpluged the speed sonsor and forgot to put it back.

 

no that aint it. i checked that like 20 times ...it was working it stopped working when i took the car to 8grand. i have no idea wats going on with this thing

 

guys im stuck and im loosing patience with this thing. Someone please help out? lol

 

i know you said you check already to see if its plugged.

now you should try to check and see if the wires are intact. check the back of the cluster, check the plug of the speed sorsor, check to see if the sensor wire has a short somewhere. what i mean to say is check everything.

one simple thing it could be too, is the sonsor itself. try switching the sensor out for a known good one(maybe from a friends car)

 

thanx. i checked the plug i took the sensor out it looks fine..i had the car up on jack stands and left it in 4th gear and when i wiggled the wire around the spedo moved but died again. i was wondering if u know what the wires that go to the sensor are..like which is the power ground . there are 3 wires. do u have a diagram? Thanx for your help by the way

 

Also is there a fuse for the vss somewhere i can check? nobody has ever had this problem?

sounds like you found your problem.

 

nope still havent figured it out yet

 

figured out the problem. It was the VSS. The middle prong on it broke off. and also the clip that goes to it was messed up.
