Default cant change oil :(

Well i was under my car trying to change my oil for the first time on my s2000 (use to have a type R). I found the bolt next to "engine oil".. i turned it counter clock-wise and the bolt would not move a bit. I pushed so hard it broke to sock wrech i was using .. i am guessing the last time honda changed my oil they over tightened it. What do you think i should do ? The car has 9,340 miles on it. it is also a 05.

Take it back to Honda and have them change it again or tell them they over torqued it.

the problem is that i bought the car in KY and i live in KS. I had the honda dealership down there change it before the dealer i bought the car from shipped it to me. Do you think i can take it to the honda dealership next to me and have them do it. maybe labor for free since i have the filter and oil already

it's tighten hard enough to break your wrench.... i have never heard of this... however, i have seem ppl turning wrong direction because their body is facing wrong way.

try using breaker bar or longer wrench to get the bolt out. you might need to re-tap the thread or replace the oil pan.

Put another wrench on the bolt and hit with rubber mallet. Don't try to muscle that thing off.

no matter what way you face it still turns the same way.

it doesn't matter what way you're facing when tightening, loosening a bolt. counter clock wise will still be the same thing 360 degrees all around the bolt.

If he was tightening it, he would have surely stripped the bolt before the wrench broke. Not like the pan is cast iron.

i usually lay front to rear of the vehicle.. so i end up turning clock-wise to loosen the bolt. by doing this way, i don't get oil on my face. so thumbs down to yourself

Technically the bolt will always be turned counter-clockwise, but it may seem opposite from the perspective point you are at.

Except below the equator, where it's the reverse.
