Default Can I throw a EX Gearset in a DX Trans?

I have a DX Transmission (1995) laying around that I would like to swap in an EX/Si gear set and higher FD, maybe even an LSD. Is this possible? Are certain transmissions are better than others for swapping gears? This is for a D-series of course. Thanks!

Possible, but expensive.

The LSD is gonna cost over $1000 with parts.

You also have to be careful with different sozed bearings on the countershaft, then you'll have to reshim the mainshaft.

Just buy a EX/Si tranny, easier than butchering up two trannys and neither of them working right.

just wondering why didn't you just install the si tranny instead of putting all the si internals in the dx. i was thinking the casing was bad or something, but you are selling casing??????

wrong? wtf is wrong???? no1 said it couldnt be done, said the bearings are all diff sizes...they have bigger bearing in the ex/si tranny for a reason, higher rpm all the time = bearing spinner faster than the dx...thats why bigger bearing...go ahead and put the ex/si in there..and watch how long the bearings dotn last....im sure they put bigger ones in there for a reason. thats why i Used my CRACKED ex housing still over the DX...expletive those small *** bearings. but no1 said it couldnt be done, so NOTHING is wrong

JBH, long time no post/see......

Bense started as a student of mine........

Student almost as good as his master, I've still with held a few tricks, but his is the only person that I've shared my shimming trick with.

He's been detoured by some F2B BS, might have lost his tranny edge
