someone help me out!!
ok i have a ek hatch and almost everytime i brake it makes a poping sound coming for the front suspenion. i have not had time to get under the car and check it out yet. can anyone tell me what i might be??? let me know thanks
The only thing this can remind me of would be when I sent my car in to get the suspension worked on by someone else for the first time. They put in a camber kit and aligned it, but forgot to put a codder pin through the castle nut on my upper control arm when they reattatched it, and it unscrewed itself while I was on the road. Made a clunk sound when I hit the brakes about three times, then fell off and fucked my car up.
Check your castle nuts for codder pins; They're $.05, nothing parts, but they matter a whole lot.

wow old thread but.,,
i have a 93 civic automatic for a good 1 year
i have the similar problem
when ever i break and the engine down shifts automatically there is a small popping
sound coming out of the front left corner ( more like between door & wheel )
I've got pretty used to it... but it never gave me any sort of mechanical problems nor handling issues so I've just ignored it...
just to let you know that you are not alone!!! i am with you buddy

Might be a control arm bushing. I had that popping sound in my 93 when I first got it. Jacked the car up, saw that the factory lower control arm bushings were about shot as could be. Got some polyurethene bushings for the lower control arms from energy suspension, and the sound went away after I put the poly bushings in. Jack the car up and see how yours are.

Make sure that your caliper mounting bolts are all in there, when you hit the brakes it will hit against the rim, someone thought it would be cool to play that joke on me...
