hey, i got a automatic transmission in my d15 eg hatch and it has a problem im unable to figure out.

whenever i get in my car after letting it sit overnight or for many hours, the transmission gives me a hard time shifting into reverse, or past reverse into other gears.

and after driving for a while i notice that when i shift into reverse or park the trans is <U>smooth</U>.

does anyone have any idea exactly what this is, and it is easily fixable or another big headache. thanks

 

well there could be many problems.. try changing the fluid

 

thanks red, i checked the trans fluid level and it seemed fine but i added a bit more fluid anyway.

trans is smooth now. does anyone have any other suggestions?
