i have a 1989 prelude 2.0si with auto trans and it will not shift beyond second gear, does anyone have an idea if the is an internal problem or could it be the trans computer, i have located both items at great prices but don't want to waste money on one or the other..........

More than likely it's the transmission itself unfortunetly. Start small first though. Check your fluid levels.

 

hey, thanks, I'm leaning toward the trans it's self, i pulled the dipstick out and the fluid was really brown and smelled burnt and thats how it was on my truck when the trans gave up......
