axel cluch grinding?-
I replaced my right axel and now when i let the clutch out in neutral it makes a kinda of a soft griding noise from that side. Does anybody know how to fix this?
don't see how that has to do with the axle...That sound you get in neutral with the clutch out is usually from a bearing inside the tranny,,mainly the input shaft or pilot
yeah, i thought so too. only thing that has my concern is that it didnt do it before. But its doing it now. However, It is up on bricks LOL. Well if the trannys going bad i was gonna but an SI tranny on it anyway. Thanks
that doesnt mean your tranny is going bad its just your throw out bearing. but you do have to take the tranny out to change it so... ya... you might as well just put the SI tranny in

I'm a mechanic and believe me, stuff just likes to break after installing new parts sometimes. it was probably about to go bad and once it was disturbed from a new install it started going bad........wierd but it happens alot. this is a big reason customers tend to not trust techs sometimes. You fixed my master cylinder and now my wheel cyclinders are leaking, you guys MESSED UP my CAR!!!! man I hear **** like that all the time

True, true. I just rebuilt my Si tranny last month but didn't change the mainshaft oil seal as it was only a year old. Guess what decided to start leaking as soon as I re-installed the trans?
