Symptoms?
This may be stupid but how would you know if you blew a syncro or blew out a gear in your transmission? I Recently busted my clutch to hell and bought a new one. After the install I have this ticking sound coming from were the tranny is. All my gears garb fine and everything shifts fine. The ticking goes away when the clutch pedal is pushed in. What are some opinions. I just don't want to spend the $$$ on a new tranny if I dont need one.

Yeah pretty sure it was greased. The only reason I think it might have to do with the tranny is the reason the clutch blew was due to a really nasty mis-shift.

Re: Symptoms? (Civic Hybrid)
if the sound goes away when the clutch is pushed in, then it is not the throw out bearing. It is a bearing in the tranny, probably the Input Shaft bearing. Search for it on here, there is a write up on how to replace it in the FAQ. This may not be it, but that is what it sounds like. It is a weak point on our trannys, and they go bad on higher mileage hondas.
and replacing the ISB is not expensive if you do it yourself.

Most likely the clutch chattering since you hve no broken it in
if it was your synchro's you would know it cause it would grind alot going into the desired gear
