Default GSR engine is acting strange

last week, i was driving, and doing about 70 mph, near 3000 rpm, when my car started to give out on me, like there wasn't any fuel getting through the injectors, couldn't accelerate, it sucked. i pulled over, and let it idle for a sec, and then it was fine.

now every time I start the car, and go somewhere, the car does the same stuff, just it only happens when the car is cold. it bucks.

I asked some opinions of some friends, one said that it could be fuel related, one says spark related (wants me to get a new distributer/wires), and one says ecu (like the heat lately in Maryland is causing my car to act funny, more fuel is going to the engine and flooding it)

i have already replaced the fuel filter
no check engine light

what should I do?

btw, its a GSR OBD1

my B18C1 CRX does the same thing at start up/cold. If I don't let it warm up it'll buck and won't rev past 3k or so. I tried and checked everything out and found nothing wrong.

I just let it warm up and no problems after.

there has got to be a way to fix it, either with playing with the ecu, or something like that, i am going to change out my distributer and wires soon anyway, just because they are still stock.

hopefully it will go away with the heat.

well, yeah, maybe, but if you feel the car, you will know that there is junk in my tank, its not like the fuel isnt getting to the enging at all, it stays the rpm that it was at before i give it gas, the throttle body opens up, but the fuel remains the same, then, by magic, the **** in my tank moves aside, and a little fuel gets in, and it jumps. i got about a quarter of a tank left, when i run out, i will call you up. we will fix my tank. its freakin old.

well, i figured out what was wrong with my car...i checked the ecu codes, and got a 1, 7, and 22 back. O2 sensor, TPS, which i picked up for about 50, and vtec (only because low on oil...) Today, i will be putting in the TPS. hope everything goes well.

has anyone had any problems with replacing their TPS? (throttle position sensor)

i kinda had the same problem, no check engine light and the car would hesitate and wouldnt want to move between 3000 to 5000 rpms. it turns out i had ls spark plug wires on my b16. my buddy hooked me up with the right ones last night and it feels like a whole new car. i didnt know that ls wires are 1/2 inch shorter then vtec wires. its just an idea of somethin to look into. my buddy has a brand new vtec dizzy 4sale if thats what the problem is.

MY IACV is what I think is the problem.

when i start the car, revs to 4K.
settles to 1 after 10 secs.
then goes to 4, then to 1.
then to 2, and then to 1. and so on.

when I am driving, i can not hardly drive under 25 mph. i give it gas, no response, 3 secs later, boom, it bucks into action. WTF? How can I fix this...my O2 sensor is bad too...

anybody know where I can get an IACV? (not ebay)(for my gsr...)check my link.

got my o2 sensor wired up 2 days ago, when the shop that did my install swapped my motor, they didnt wire up my O2 sensor, they left the 1 wire sensor in the header, and left 5 wires next to my ecu taped up. when trying to troubleshoot, we ran the wires to the engine bay, matched up 3 of the 4 colors to the diagram for the boomsling harness, and connected them up to a GSR 4 wire O2 harness. car dosnt waste as much gas anymore, no more engine light for that

UPDATE second issue, my TPS need calabration and another screw. when I replaced my TPS, i had to remove the stock GSR TPS, with a file, and a screw driver, the screws were tamper proof i guess, i had to file a spot to turn the screws. anyhow, placed the new tps on there, and didnt know how to calibrate...so, stuck I am, I have a multi meter, but dont know where to get the readings from. help please!
