96 SOHC VTEC

Ok whenever I start my car and the engine is cold my car has this strange sympton that I can't figure out. If you let the clutch out at idle then the car will take off relatively fine, but if you over rev the car in the slightest, and try to go, the car shakes violently as if the engine were about to diem even though it isn't. If you really over rev it and go then it won't do it, but only b/c the rpm's are so high. When the car is warm this sympton usually ceases, but it still does it every once and awhile if you don't let it out just right. I have driven other Civic's and they don't do this at all. It drives me crazy and I would really like to know what the hell is the matter with it. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Could it be a broken motormount? I dont know for sure, but its something I'd check...

check ur plugs..dont really know though..this happen d to me and the plugs were black when the pull d them out..could also be a dirty fuel delivery sys. too

sounds like the engine is missing. check your plugs and wires look at the plug ends of the wires if you see any whiteish powder streaks or cracks your plug wires are bad. also check cap and rotor

you might be running lean also....makes it more noticeable when its cold

I think your car shakes because it isn't an ITR!!!!

same for me...but im pretty sure its the combo of the cams, ecu, tuning, and just being cold...if u dont have any of this, then check your motors stability.
