rpms problem

Default rpms problem

im doing an ls/vtec swap on my delso.had al the wiring connected n stuff but when
i start the car and rpm start shootin up it dont just go up n down but its shoot up n wouldnt stop till i shut off the engine....
and there's one plug that i couldnt figure out what it is ..its on the driver side all the way down to the bottom of the block....i think it must have somtin to do with the timing..
help plz !!!1

CPS? putting obd2 bottom end into obd1 car?

yes its the cps , so is that the cause of the problem ?

i believe so, if you had a d series in stock, i believe the CPS sensor is located right near the Dizzy., Vs b series. and obd2 d series are also down by the crank.

ok then how am i gonna find that plug for that sensor but iono if it was obd1 or 2 and my obd1 harness just fit on every sensor ??

yeah, OBD1 D series did not have that obd2 d series does, and i believe all obd1 + B series have that plug down there...not 100% but think it needs to be wired in. someone will come thru the thread and know., Im using obd2 d series. but with obd1 head and dizzy, so i just leave mine hangin

so u been runnin w/out the cps ? is it gonna dmg ur engine ?
