Crank Angle Sensor problem. PLZ HELP!!!
i had to repin a OBD2 dizzy to work for my OBD1 harness and now it has a problem with revving past like 5500. it sounds like the timing goes way off and then it runs out of power. i was wondering if i need a OBD1 dizzy to work with out CAS.
thanks for the help.
o yeah its a 97 LS in a 93 with a GSR harness.

Yeah, you need an OBD1 dizzy because the Z6/B7/etc. doesn't use an external crank angle sensor. It's integrated into the distributor.

you should just use an obd2 engine harness. 1 wire you will have to run is for the rpm. and you jump that right at teh shock tower. the harness will be cheaper then a new dist.
obd2 gsr or type r.
