Default Vacuum leak or charcoal canister which is my problem?

ok. so im having issues with either one of these i dont know but the symptoms seem the same.

my car
01 Honda Civic LX
53,210 miles
Coupe
Standard tranny

i drive then i go to a complete stop my engine turns off. everything else is on. (not abruptly) it turns off you dont even notice until power steering is gone.

im driving on the high way and cruise down hill on neutral, my cars engine turns off, and i notice with power steering gone as well.

it suddenly doesnt happen sometimes and it does happen sometimes i just dont know what causes it. but recently i just put in a new SRI into my car. its Ebay brand tubing with a K&N filter. and the problem arrose again around 25 miles of driving with it. the
O2 sesnsor is fine so i dont know what else could be the issue. is there a way i could diagnose this without dropping an arm and a leg at a mechanic shop?

The charcoal canister and o2 sensor wouldn't have anything to do with your engine shutting off, and if you had vacuum issues you would notice other problems (running rough, poor mpg, etc.). Sounds like a possible ignition switch or other ignition or charging system problem. Sounds like you should take it somewhere.

I can help you deal with this problem maybe. Because of your new intake system the ECU has change the AF mixture which give you an erratic idling which lead to stopping your engine. Try to reset the ECU by removing the blue fuse(15A) for 5 minutes and install it back again. Then start the engine with all the accessories off/AC off in idle throtle for 5 minutes, then start driving your car with AC ON at medium speed 20 to 40kph for 2 minutes then at high speed for another 2 minutes. now your ECU has been re-programmed for its proper AF mixture.

BTW: the fuse is located in the under hood fuse box. HTH.

No. The AF ratio is not drastically affected by just putting an intake on. No amount or type of driving "re-programs" the ECU for the proper AF mixture.. The ECU uses sensor inputs to change long term and short term fuel trim to create optimal AF ratio (based on O2 sensor readings and AF ratio sensors on newer Hondas). Sure, make sure the intake is installed right, but your problem lies elsewhere.

I do not believe you are correct. There is harm in doing that because you are giving the author inaccurate information that is misleading and will keep him from looking into plausible causes for his problem. AF ratio is not reset or reprogrammed, and an intake does not have such a significant impact on fuel trim that it would cause a car to shut off. Ignition switch, ignition, or charging system is the likely problem. Period.

Based on my perception of your skill level I believe you should take it to a professional.

Owowow I'm inaccurate?

It happen to me before and did the ECU reset and it work that's the reason why i'm sharing this info to him.

BTW. not only AF ratio is re-programmed, by doing the ECU reset all sensor attach onto it are in default settings and doing the steps (my first post) given above will teach the ECU to learn the new set-up/settings which in his case the new intake system.
FYI: do you know that even the Auto up-down movement of your window is controlled by ECU?

Maybe my english wasn't good but I'm trying my best to explain it to you.

If i'm wrong i stand to be corrected but if this info will help him solved his problem then i'm happy for him.
