JDM GSR motor redlining only at 7400 RPM.
Hey guys,
I just swapped in the motor into my del Sol Si using the stock p72 that came with it, stock cluster with redline at 7200. No check engine lights. Fuel Cut off is currently at 7400.
Do you guys think the cluster is the reason why it won't go to 8200rpm?

the cluster can turn forever.
Are you positive it's a stock P72?
Cuz a gsr ecu can redline at 8200.....
Unless you got haxed

the cluster wouldnt cause it to stop like that, you could bury the tach on the cluster....possible your cluster could be off? I know when i hooked up my afc the tach on my car would be different then the afc...my cluster tach was off by 400
i bet he got a stock p28 ecu lol
does the car feel slow and a lil sluggish...if so i'd bet you any money you have another p28 ecu....
get a p72 obd1 GSR ecu or get the p28 tuned...thats what i did...

my stock cluster sucks.
that tach is off by 1000 rpm on the high side. i've just lived with it, so long as i know where the right shift points are it doesn't really affect the way the car drives.
