tach readings are incorrect

tach readings are incorrect
my tach is not reading correctly.i changed out the cluster for a dif one n it is the exact same thing.the ecus limit is 8500, n the tach is hitting the limmitier at 7500.any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.thanks.

I doubt two Clusters are "reading incorrectly". It's something else. Is the ECU chipped/aftermarket? How do you know it's 8500 limit?

ya i dont think its the cluster either.but yes the ecu is chipped by phearable.i though they had it set as 7500 instead of 8500.then we put my ecu in my friends gsr n it did indeed rev to 8500.so its not the ecu or cluster i dont know what the **** it is.

really?ok i'll try that but i dont think that is the case it could be tho.but what else can cause this?
