People that don't shift right would be the gear grinders and mis-shifters

Why dont you post this in GDD since it has no technical content and Ke98248 is correct misshifting, grinding gears, people who think bringing their car all the way to the rev limmiter before shifting, granny shifting, ETC.
I will admit ive been driving manual for a year now have misshifted once but still cant stop grinding gears for some reason
and the "correct way to shift" would be the way your most comfortable shifting with and dont screw the gear selecting up. in other words everybody shifts differently in a way some shift slow some shift quick.

Bring it up to maybe 2700 RPM then let out the clutch - don't pop it, that'll create excessive wheel spin - but let it out faster than you'd do on a normal start - you need to feather the clutch and the gas so you don't overspin the tires but you still get nice acceleration. It's okay if ur tires spin a bit, they all do, but if they overspin you lose time, your launch is judged really well by your R/T (reaction time) and your 60' time.

In my book the Y7 (I think that's what u have, no?) - loses pwoer around 6300-6500 RPM - shift there - don't wait to the redline to shift because it doesn't make power to that point.

Don't double clutch, straight up clutch like you would if you were driving every day. A stock Y7 doesn't have enough power to break the tires loose on the shift unless it's pouring so don't worry about feathering second. Don't power shift either (aka. clutchless shift) - believe it or not, it's slower (and obviously worse on your trans).

When the RPM is dropping from the top of your power band it'll settle nicely into the next gear - so you're pretty safe with just "pedal planting" after you're moving.

Holla at me (PM or AIM) if you need more detailed help on one particular aspect.

Plain and simple, do what you can for smooth shift engagements.

When down shifting or even up shifting, do a little rev matching when you shift.

in 1st. Instead of WOOOoOOOOOOm and going

it should be Wom-wom-wom-wom while you slowly release the clutch.

Sounds primitive, but it should make sense.

I don't lift when shifting at dragstrip, ever.

Make friends with your rev limitier......even on 85-100 shot of nitrous.
