Default Super Charger vs. Turbo Charger

Okay, so I did some research and truth be told (unless these web sites are bogus); turbo chargers give you more efficient power (more hp) but run way hotter (engine wear) and have a lag time that is dependent on high revs; while super chargers spike at the start of in the low rev range and then level off. No heat issue but some parasitic problems as in the super charger uses up some of the hp gained. Therefore, super charger is for building a dragster while turbo charger is for consistent power output yet runs hotter usually applied in vehicles like boats or small planes. Well, I'm more confused, the only thing I saw in the market that may be different is an electrical supercharger that runs on batteries but only in short burst similar to nitrous shots. Well, I guess I'm back to square run. I really don't know which is better for my Honda. More opinions please, meanwhile I'll cruise the other forums.
