just picked up my integra, trying to put a stereo in. deck wont turn on, SEARCH DOWN
hey guys, search is down so please dont tell me to search
i just put my system from my hatch in my integra and the deck wont turn on , i know its hooked up correctly behind the deck, i've had somebody even look at that part just to be sure
here is where it gets tricky, i used a test light, and im not getting anything to the white with blue stripe power wire in the factory harness, so i decided to go directly to the fuse box with my test light, i get nothing at all even inside where the radio fuse is supposed to go, so im completely clueless on how i can hook this stereo up now if i have no power going to the fusebox where i need it... any help would be much appreciated thanks guys

Try putting the stock radio back in to see if it powers on. just to see what happens. if it powers on fine, you wired something wrong. if it doesn't, you may need to be tracing some wires around. you may have the ignition and constant 12v wires backwards too. double check that. a good ground makes all the difference also.

i dont have a stock radio, and i know its hooked up 100% right because when i put it in, whoever had a deck in it before, had all the colors snipped, meaning all the wires were already hooked up to waht they should be for color coding. which made it really easy...
im still trying to figure out what you mean by runnign direct power? do you mean from the battery to the deck.. cuz i REALLY dont want to run another cable through that mess of an engine bay and thru the firewall, that was a bitch

Which fuse box are you looking through? There is a fuse in the fusebox in the engine bay that can blow out...causing one to lose power for the radio and such...

The white/blue wire is constant, and is the fuse under the hood labeled "backup". If you checked this fuse and it is OK, you will need to run another constant wire. You don't necessarily need to run it to the battery, though. You can run it to the white wire at the ignition switch or fuse box.
you may want to re-post in audio/security/vid on HT, im not sure if u did or didnt already, i didnt check..

checked all under hood fuses , they are all working fine.... i went under wear the fusebox is under teh dash and it looks to me just before a green plug inside the fuse box (fairly large) there is a white with blue striped wire, im thinking that is the power line that is behind the deck too? i hope, cuz i pinched into it with the poker from the test light and im getting power, so if i splice into that line and use that as my power line, will that work? also i dont want to have it so that i have to turn the deck off everytime i turn my car off... so let me know :D
thx

Have you checked out every fuse under the dash. Don't just look at them. Pull them out and look. Also the fuse under the hood is a 15 amp fuse. Does the clock still work in the car?
