Default fuel pump not always turning on when realy hot outside bad relay?

the fuel pump is not always turning on when it realy hot outside like 28c + and humid or after i driving for 20min then shutting off the engine 1min later try to restart and fuel pump won't prime will have to let it rest for a while and then it will work ex: today is realy hot 34c and humid get in my car try to start and it won't fuel pump is not priming i hear the first click but no 2nd click tried for 10 min still no go i open the windows to cool the car inside comback try again still not working so open the doors and the hood wait 15 min and try again i hear a first click then 2 sec later another click turn key and it started drove for 20 min shutt the engine 5min later started with no problem comeback home wait 5min turn key on again fuel pump won't prime and it like that sometimes it prime sometimes it won't but when it cool outside i have no problem. is the main relay bad and where is located.

Yes, I had the same problem where if it was hot outside, the fuel pump did not prime. Or driving, then turning off the engine and trying to restart it. The main relay is located right above the hood release latch. It's a grey box.

there's a really good link about the mail relay, why they go bad, and how to fix it yourself.
the server that the page is hosted on is down a lot though. Hopefully it will work sometime for you so you can save $60 on buying a new one

I tried resoldering all of the points, but the main relay still gave me problems after 2 weeks.

ok here is some update i did not change the may relay yet as i am not sure anymore. today i could'nt start the car for 30min and 4 times i got the engine started reved to 3k and the car would bog and die and for those 4 times the pump primed i never had this much trouble to start it before but again the sun was hot and my car was realy hot inside. i got it to start after opening my hood and waited 3 minutes and it started. now my question is do the pump always have to prime when you turn the ignition to on even after failed starts. does that sound like something els or still just the main relay.

definitely main relay. Mine would do the same thing and I went to a local junkyardand grabbed three of them and all three of them worked great. Car runs great and starts every time.

edit*

I am pretty sure the pump primes every time you turn the key off and back on.

keep in mind that the main relay supplies power to the fuel pump and injectors.
When this problem exists the fuel pump may prime when you first switch on the ignition, the car may start and even run for a little while then die when the connnections vibrate loose again.
replace it or simply pull it open and resolder the connections and go from there.
I'm not saying that is your problem, but it's highly likely.
