fuel pump problem? tough to start after driving more than an hour?
kind of a weird situation, seems as though it could be the fuel pump. car starts fine, say, first thing in the morning, but if i drive a decent distance, turn it off, and try to restart, it seems to crank over very quickly without starting. when i turn to the ignition position, sometimes i can't hear the fuel pump prime, other times, it sounds normal.

seems the same symptoms were happening on an 87 accord lxi i replaced injectors on, but that wouldn't start at all once the car got to operating temp and tried to be restarted. that did have spark also.

i was kind of thinking the same thing, main relay, but wouldn't that want to kill the car once it got up to temperature? is that energized the entire time the fuel pump is on?
