Rotating tachometer?
Is it possible to rotate the tachometer 90 degrees on the stock cluster? I've never taken the cluster apart so I'm not certain how the tach is secured, but I was hoping to be able to remove the screws and rotate the tach so that redline is approximately at the top, then replace the screws. Does anyone have any pics of the back of the cluster or know if this can be done? I'd just rather not take mine apart only to find that my plan won't work.
I'll try to remember to look tonight, but it wouldn't be that simple.. the four screws holding it in all carry power, ground, signal, etc.. the two screws holding the gauge face can only mount the way they are, or at 180 degrees.. I'll try to remember to look at my bling bling JDM ITR cluster (which is sitting outside on the patio chillin) tonight.
no need to rotate the actual mechanism, just modify the faceplace, rotate that and recalibrate the needle.
