Hi, this is my first time posting in this section. I'll try and keep this short and sweet.
I'm looking for some good quality low cost 6 1/2" speakers to be accompanied by my Alpine 4 X 45W CD player. Should I look for speakers with 45W RMS ratings? Any advice on brands and any other info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

go to a local car audio shop and listen to whatever is in your price range (which you failed to mention). as for power rating, the 45W your deck puts out is peak power so dont look for something too power hungry

any speaker that rms is under 40 watts would be best. Also most important is the way the speaker is installed. You can have the best speaker in the world and it will sound like garbage in not installed right.

Is there some special way to install them? Seems pretty simple, just 2 speaker wires. I'm just going to install them in their facotry locations.
